In 2007, Nexans Industry Solutions A/S (NIS), was founded as a subdivision in the Danish company BE Installationer. The primary purpose was to assemble cables for the wind turbine industry and renewables this is still our core segment to this day. 

In 2008, the company became independent under the name BE CableCon A/S. 

In 2018, BE Cablecon A/S was acquired by the French group: Nexans. The name was changed to Nexans Industry Solutions A/S and is today an independent factory under Nexans. In the same year, NIS opened their second factory in Szczecin, Poland. 

In 2020, NIS opened their third factory in Tianjin, China. 

NIS has provided a range of support services for several years such as cable/harness design and power accessories to the OEMs of the renewables market segment. This is a strategic decision to be closer to our customers and together create the opportunity for faster and better development of LV or MV cabling systems. It has not only been a valuable investment for us but also for our customers.

Safety is our Obligation - why we never compromise on safety

Safety First is a key word within NIS and a concept that our employees learn from the very first day and are then reminded of regularly. Through regular activities, we remind ourselves to always put our safety first.

All our meetings always start with safety and we regularly have safety walks. The purpose is to identify possible safety risks and develop solutions for how to prevent accidents and injuries.

Each employee also has individual objectives regarding making safety observations. This can be observations of risks but can also be when someone has a safe way of working which can benefit others and therefore needs to become a standard.

• Quality-oriented processing of cables for a finished installation cable that matches the customer’s requirements and specifications
